Bramasole perfumes: a Tuscan story

Bramasole perfumes are produced in an ancient villa on the Sienese hills, near Montepulciano. The history of our fragrances is Tuscan and has its roots in the Renaissance.

It was 1533 when Catherine de ‘Medici, great grand-daughter of Lorenzo Il Magnifico, at the time only fourteen years old, married the future king of France Henry II d’ Orleans. She moved to France followed by her personal perfumer, Renato Bianco, who later changed his name to René Le Florentin. This marked a turning point in the history of perfumes: the practice of wearing pleasant fragrances was  common among Italian and Florentine ladies, but Paris and France had not yet had the pleasure of discovering such a habit.

It was thanks to a Tuscan noble woman, therefore, that perfumes arrived in France, and thanks to the expertise of Renato Bianco and other Florentine perfumers that fragrances spread first in Paris and then throughout the nation. The rest is history.

Fabio Meloni, the master perfumer of Bramasole, has recovered the Renaissance method of making perfumes, giving life to with a high content of natural substances. Like the Tuscan Renaissance alchemists, our perfumer seeks the best essences from all over the world, from the East, along the Silk Road, and then combines them to create special, exclusive niche scents as natural as possible.

Each bottle encloses the spirit of the Sienese hills and of the Tuscan villa in which these perfumes are made. These perfumes are not only reminiscent of flowers, aromatic woodand spices, wearing them will also mean carrying with you the aroma of Tuscany and of  the Renaissance, wherever you are.

In each Bramasole perfume bottle you will find history, nature and all the beauty of Tuscany.
